The Spay/Neuter Clinic of WNY
The Maddie's® Spay/Neuter Project in Erie County is a program dedicated to ending the pet overpopulation crisis. Part of the funding that Maddie's Fund has awarded is to assist low income pet owners and feral caretakers with the expense of spaying/neutering.
Cost to pet owner/feral caretaker: $10
Qualifications for the program:
1) Erie County resident
2) Medicaid recipient (note: Medicare DOES NOT qualify you)
3) Limit six cats per household (not per individual)
*** The only qualification for feral caretakers is to be a resident of Erie County
Required documentation on day of appointment (does not apply to feral caretakers):
1) Proof of residence in Erie County (i.e. Driver's License)
2) New York State Benefit Identification Card
3) Proof of Medicaid (Medicaid approval or re-certification letter with your Medicaid number).
Pet owners MUST bring the three items above on the morning of their appointment or they will not be eligible for the Maddie's Project rate.
Participating Clinics:
Note that some participating veterinary hospitals require services, such as vaccinations, that will cause the fee to be higher than $10. Be sure to confirm the final price when making your appointment.
