The baseline year for the Maddie’s® Pet Rescue Project is 2007. For each of the five years the Project is in place, Black Dog, Second Chance; the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter; HEART; Second Chance; the SPCA; and Ten Lives Club only receive subsidies from Maddie’s Fund if they surpass the number of adoptions that they did in the baseline year.
