OUR PROGRESS
The baseline year for the Maddie’s® Pet Rescue Project is 2007.  For each of the five years the Project is in place, Black Dog, Second Chance; the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter; HEART; Second Chance; the SPCA; and Ten Lives Club only receive subsidies from Maddie’s Fund if they surpass the number of adoptions that they did in the baseline year.

Below are the yearly adoption goals for the Project (figures only include animals that originated in Erie County):

Year 1 - 8,502 dogs and cats
Year 2 - 8,877 dogs and cats
Year 3 - 9,283 dogs and cats
Year 4 - 9,720 dogs and cats
year 5 - 10,126 dogs and cats

November 2011
